Gastonia Thieves on the Loose

Following four recent larceny / fraud cases in Gastonia, the city's police are seeking public assistance in identifying the two suspects involved.

All four cases happened on August 11. Multiple businesses in Gastonia have captured the suspects on surveillance footage. A woman's purse was stolen from the Walmart on North Myrtle School Road while the woman had her back turned.

A credit card stolen from that purse was used in an attempt to purchase goods from the Walgreen's on West Franklin Boulevard.

A shopper at the K-Mart on East Franklin Boulevard reported a credit card stolen from her purse. In that incident, the victim says a male accomplice distracted her while a woman stole the card.

That card was used to buy gift cards from the Lowes nearby.
