Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have charged Steven Lamonte Stitt with the robbery of Wells Fargo bank on Mt. Holly-Huntersbille Road Thursday July 26. That robbery involved a man wearing a hat and sunglasses. The suspect approached a teller and robbed the bank at gunpoint.
Stitt, who is a Charlotte native and a habitual felon, was arrested Friday morning at a traffic stop on Little Rock Road. The arrest comes after a tip called in to Crime Stoppers led police to investigate Stitt. He was jailed under a $51,000 bond.
