Update: Anonymous Tip Received - This man is from Staten Island, goes by the nickname "New York" and used to hang out a bar called Five Steps II of Monroe Road / Sardis Road Intersection.
The BB&T at the Galleria Shopping Center on Sardis Road North was robbed Friday afternoon by a man Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say has been on a spree since he robbed the Sun Trust, also in the Galleria Shopping Center, on June 11.
Images from the BB&T surveillance cameras show the robber wearing sunglasses and a black backpack, as well as the first time this suspect drew a weapon.
There is currently a $6,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of this man after authorities confirmed that he also robbed three other banks within the past 2 months. Anyone with more information on this person can call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600 and remain anonymous.
