CMPD Arrests 3 Protesters Tuesday

Three demonstrators were arrested Tuesday after hours of marching and protesting causes from President Obama to Bradley Manning.

John Penley, Dylan Wrynn, and Paul Davis were all arrested during demonstrations in uptown Charlotte Tuesday. Penley was arrested after attempting to bypass a police barricade on Caldwell Street. He was wrapped in an American flag and sported a captain's hat.

The other two protesters were arrested under charges of disorderly conduct. CMPD Chief Rodney Monroe stated that officers were observing the situation. He also stated that the demonstrations would be allowed to continue for as long as they remained nonviolent.
