Possible Road Rage Leads to Hit-and-Run, Leaves 21 Year-Old in Critical Condition

The daughter of an Indian Trail councilwoman is in critical condition after a hit-and-run accident on Wednesday that NC Troopers say may have been the result of road rage.

Twenty-one year-old Christina Morris was spun off the road after an SUV clipped her car at about 2:00 Wednesday afternoon. The wreck happened as Morris attempted to make a pass in the right lane of I-485 near Providence Road.

The SUV that wrecked Morris continued traveling down the I-485 Inner Loop and never stopped. Christina's mother is Indian Trail Councilwoman Darlene Morris Luther. Morris is listed in critical condition with collapsed lungs and broken bones.
