Prostitution Sting Leads to Six Arrests

A sting operation in Charlotte produced six arrests for prostitution on Wednesday. Complaints from concerned citizens about prostitution-related robberies sparked the operation.

Both undercover and uniformed police officers took to the streets to identify the suspects in a sting of robberies and prostitution activity around the Eastway Drive and Frontenac Avenue areas located near Shamrock Drive.

Those arrested in the operation include 37 year-old Delmonica Cuthberson, 42 year-old Wendi Wolfe and Lisa Ayers, 20 year-old Chatal McFadden, and 21 year-old Michela Cornett. These women were charged on various prostitution-related solicitation and loitering charges. Twenty-two year-old Albert Henderson was charged with possession of firearm by felon.

Lincoln Co. Prostitution Sting Operation Produces 1 Arrest

Law enforcement agencies from two counties worked together in a prostitution sting in Lincolnton this week. Elizabeth Anne Winter was arrested on charges of prostitution after she arranged to meet an undercover police officer at a hotel in Lincolnton.

Officers from the Lincolnton Police Department teamed up with officers from the Cleveland County Sheriff's Department and Shelby Police Department to make the arrest.

Winter was jailed in Lincoln County on a $1,000 bond.

CMPD Cracking Down on Prostitution in NODA

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department announced yesterday they are cracking down on drugs, prostitution and johns in the NODA area of Charlotte, specifically near the intersection of 36th St & The Plaza.

Police say their attempt to curb criminal activity in this area using multiple resources (including helpful citizens & undercover stings) has helped drop the crime rate in the CMPD Eastway Division and across the city. 

CMPD said within a 2 month time period, they have made 20+ arrests and obtained search warrants for 3 suspected crime ridden homes.  During the raids, they found cash, drugs and guns at all three houses.   If you look at my mugshot slideshow, you will notice a much higher rate of prostitution arrests in the past few months.

FBI's Charlotte Division Arrests Multi-State 'Online' Prostitution Ring

Craig Allen Rodgers was arrested last Friday by agents with the FBI and is currently being held in the Mecklenburg County Jail.

He was arrested in the parking lot of the Yorkmont Rd. Extended-Stay Hotel after the Nashville, TN FBI received a tip in regards to a 20-year old woman that Rodger's was prostituting against her will.  Nashville, TN authorities contacted Charlotte's FBI Office after they gathered intelligence which showed that Rodgers and 'his girls' were in the Charlotte area.

Craig Rodgers is a pimp who operated a prostitution business and traveled across the country, posting classified ads on online sex sites promoting his escort and adult services.  He has been known to operate in Charlotte, Nashville, TN; Albuquerque, NM; and Covington, OH,  

According to court records, Rodgers is originally from California and has several previous prostitution-related convictions.  In 2006, he pled guilty in Oklahoma to aiding and abetting in prostitution and using a computer to violate Oklahoma law.

Pastor Arrested at Airport Overlook for Soliciting Sex

Clinton Feemster, 59, was charged with 'solicit- crime against nature' after police say he tried to solicit sex from an undercover police detective.

The incident happened at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport's overlook at 6700 Old Dowd Road. Police say the incident occurred in a public area where families were present.

According to the police report, Clinton Feemster was "soliciting an undercover detective for oral sex." The CMPD has received numerous complaints from people who have observed lewd sexual activity taking place at this location.

Pastor Feemster teaches theology to both students and other ministers at Gardner-Webb University and has been a Pastor at Mount Zion Baptist Church for more than 20 years.

Prostitution Bust in Charlotte, NC

CMPD cracked down on prostitution in Charlotte, NC on Wednesday night. The following women were arrested during the sting:

Hot Stone Day Spa Busted for Prostitution

According to the Matthews Police Department, Young Bok Kim and Young Ja Kim were arrested for prostitution today at the Hot Stone Day Spa, located at 11100 Monroe Road.

Police say they received information that the women who work at the Hot Stone Day Spa were offering sexual favors in addition to massages.

Three women were escorted from the business but only two of them were arrested. Police called code enforcement officers to the scene to make sure the Hot Stone Spa is shut down for good.

Today is the second time police have busted this establishment within the past two years.

Federal Agents Bust Charlotte 'Madam' Sallie Saxon & Cohorts

UPDATE: The Saxon's and Glenn Fox were all sentenced today in Federal Court. Sallie Saxon was sentenced to 24 months in prison, Donald Saxon was sentenced to 21 month in prison and Glenn Fox will serve 15 months in prison. All three will serve their sentences in a Federal penitentiary without the possibility of parole.

A prostitution criminal enterprise came to a screeching halt last Friday when Federal authorities and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officers raided a home on Coatbridge Lane and arrested three people involved in running an upscale prostitution service geared towards "affluent clientele."

According to the criminal complaint filed in Federal Court, Sallie Wamsley Saxon, 57, was a 'madam' who operated the local web-based escort service from her home in Charlotte. Saxon arranged the sexual encounters between the 'johns' and 'escorts' and collected 30%-50% of the profits. The average hourly rate for one of Saxon's prostitutes was $400. An overnight stay went for $3,500.

In addition to hiring local women, Saxon recruited women from all over the United States and world to come to Charlotte, NC and work for her. She arranged for prostitutes to travel to Charlotte from Canada, Asia, Brazil, New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles and other places. Saxon would display the prostitutes' photo and profile on her members-only website and set-up the client/escort meetings in exchange for a cut of the profits.

Donald Verdery Saxon, 52, (middle) is Sallie Saxon's husband and partner in crime. Donald was responsible for collecting monies owed to Sallie and other miscellaneous duties. Federal Agents observed Mr. Saxon accept cash filled manila envelopes from prostitutes and watched him transport an out-of-town prostitute to her hotel after a 'bare' photo shoot.

Glenn Alvin Fox, 58, was the contracted photographer who took bare photos of Sallie's prostitutes. Fox's bare photos were posted on Sallie's website as advertisement of available prostitutes for her clients. Sallie Saxon paid Glenn Fox at least $36,000 for his services in 2006.

The Saxon's and Fox are all charged with conspiring to operate a criminal enterprise involving money laundering and illegal prostitution.

'Charlotte Madam' Jailed for Shoplifting

CMPD Officers arrested 58-year old Sallie Saxon Wamsley and charged her with misdemeanor larceny today. - Read post about 'Charlotte's madam' from last November -

Police say Saxon (aka Wamsley) shoplifted over $50 in goods from the Stein Mart store located in Cotswold Village on Sharon Amity Rd. Saxon stole a wallet, pair of shorts and a shirt from the store.

Pastor Arrested for Soliciting Sex

Yesterday afternoon, a CMPD plainclothes Officer was working off-duty at the Park Road Park. The Officer had to use the restroom and was approached by a man who propositioned the Officer for oral sex and tried to grab the Officer's crotch.

The man happens to be Robert Lee Graff, 58, the Pastor of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, located on Park Road. He is charged with soliciting a crime against nature.

Prostitution House Bust on Dawn Circle

On Thursday, police raided a prostitution house located at 436 Dawn Circle. The 'business' catered mainly to Hispanic clientele. Rolando Durante, the resident 'pimp' and one prostitute, Nayeli Perez were arrested during the sting.

Police had been watching the house for months and said they believe more women were involved in the operation. Perez, the arrested prostitute, admitted to turning nine tricks on Wednesday for $30.00 each...

On Friday night, WBTV's Rob Tufano went to the home to report about the bust and ran into several men who hadn't heard the news and were attempting to pay the home a visit... Watch Video
