WBTV News is reporting that CMPD is looking for a career con-artist named Donald Patterson. Police say Patterson has been arrested 31 times and most of those arrests were for scamming people.

Last week, police said Patterson walked into Rudino's Pizza in South End and attempted to swindle people out of their money. Fortunately, no one fell for his story, but witnesses told police Patterson was very convincing and sincere.

Some people have told police that Patterson has even claimed to be the owner of Vinnie's Restaurant. He borrows money from people and tells them to come by Vinnie's so he can repay them later.

Police told
WBTV News 3 they know of at least ten cases in South End and Center City where Patterson has attempted to con people and they believe there are other cases which haven't even been reported.

Police suspect that Patterson conned his own mother out of her white Lincoln navigator. It has a Florida tag with license plate number P387XV. Investigators said he has been arrested for kidnapping and armed robbery in the past. They fear he could turn violent again. If you see Donald Petterson, you should call CMPD immediately.
