'Teflon Shea' Roseboro: One of Charlotte's Finest Thugs with 40+ Arrests & No Prison Time

SHEA ROSEBORO
5/1/2012- Shea Roseboro is still at it... he was arrested today for DWI & DWLR.... it never ends!

UPDATE VI: 11/1/11- Shea Roseboro was arrested again today for DWLR & Assault on a female.

UPDATE V:  9/29/11-  Shea Roseboro was arrested AGAIN for driving while license revoked. (Editors Note: This is really getting ridiculous. Shea Roseboro clearly has NO REGARD for the law yet he is arrested over 40 times in the past 5 years and serve no prison time!)

UPDATE IV:  9/13/11-  "Teflon Shea" was arrested again today for driving while license revoked.

UPDATE III:  8/5/11- Shea Roseboro was popped again for a probation violation.  He is back on the streets already...  why do they bother??

UPDATE II:  7/19/11- Shea Roseboro was arrested AGAIN on 7/16/11... this time for selling drugs.  He posted his $5,000 bond and was back on the streets within hours.  "Next time you get arrested, tell them you want "Shea Roseboro treatment"
Shea Roseboro

UPDATE:  6/16/11- Shea Roseboro was arrested again and released the same day after posting $5,000 bond.

6/1/2011- It never ends in Mecklenburg County!  The 'revolving door' of the justice system is enough to make me spit nails!  I was skimming through today's arrests and I could not believe my eyes when I saw Mr. Shea Roseboro pop up on the screen AGAIN!
--------------------------------------------------

I've been blogging about Shea Roseboro since Sept 2008 after he shot a 14-year old boy on October Ct.  At that time, his arrest record was already a mile long (18 arrests since 8/07)  He never spent a day in prison for shooting the boy so....

Shea Anthony Roseboro
In April 2010, Shea Roseboro shot a man on Lakewood Ave. He was out of jail being tracked by 'electronic monitoring' at the time- so he "cut and ran."  The VCAT Team searched and found Roseboro so back to jail he went...  33 times since he turned 16 years old.  I can only imagine his juvenile record!

On May 6, 2011, the Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Office released the following statement: "Shea Roseboro, 21, pled guilty to interfering with an electronic monitoring device and damaging computers. Roseboro was sentenced to 15-18 months in prison, suspended for 36 months of supervised probation with 120 days in jail by Judge Constangy."

Can someone please tell me why Shea Roseboro was given a $500 bond and is back out on the streets... after getting arrested again today?  Shea Roseboro is 21 years old.  He has shot two people, has been arrested in Mecklenburg County 33 times in 5 years and he is STILL walking the streets of Charlotte!  Sick yet?

Habitual Offender & Robbery Suspect Arrested in Westover Division

Michael Conway
UPDATECheck out the Meck-Deck's post on Conway

CMPD Westover Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department arrested 42-year old Michael Conway on July 5th after he robbed two gas stations.

The first report of a robbery came from the Petro Express located at 605 Clanton Road. The victim told officers that the suspect entered the store and demanded the money from the cash register, implying he had a gun.  The suspect took the cash and got into a taxi before leaving the location.

Approximately five minutes later, another robbery occurred at the Circle-K located at 4001 South Blvd.  The store clerk stated that she was behind the counter when the suspect entered the store and implied he had a gun, and demanded money from the register and again got in to a taxi.

The suspect and vehicle descriptions were identical to those of the prior robbery.  The description was broadcast over the police radio and officers circulated the area looking for the vehicle and/or suspect.  A short time later, Westover Division Officers located a vehicle matching the description and CMPD Steele Creek officers assisted Westover officers as they stopped the taxi on Woodlawn Road.

A witness was transported to the location and identified Michael Conway as the man responsible for the Circle-K robbery.  A search incident to arrest also resulted in officers recovering property that was stolen from the Petro Express robbery.   It was determined that the taxi driver was transporting Mr. Conway was not aware of the suspect’s criminal activity inside the stores.

Michael Conway was charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Common Law Robbery.  Since 2001, Conway has a lengthy NC criminal record including in Mecklenburg County, where he was arrested in 2008 and charged with four counts of robbing a business, one count of robbing an individual and for being a habitual felon.  In May 2011, he was arrested again for conspiring to sell & distribute marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and for resisting an officer.  This guy was just released from prison in April 2011 since his admission on July 7, 2009.  Reformed? I don't think so...

The CMPD says they will continue to work aggressively to remove these type of individuals from society who repeatedly prey on our community.  Excellent communication and coordination between patrol officers in Westover and Steele Creek Divisions in the field and dispatch were critical elements in apprehending this repeat offender before he victimized anyone else.

Habitual Offender Arrested; Thanks to Citizen Witness

Brandon Howard
On April 28, 2011, at approx. 4:30 pm, Providence Division officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to a report of a larceny from auto in the 3400 block Wheatley Avenue. The victim stated he was transporting a wheel chair to a disabled child when he returned to his vehicle, he found his briefcase, wallet and computer missing from the vehicle.

A neighbor who witnessed the incident identified the suspect as 23-year old Brandon Ramone Howard and told officers where he lived.  Officers responded to 3123 Rodman Street and located the suspect.  Howard told Officers he was babysitting two children at the time and gave officers consent to search the residence and his person. Officers subsequently recovered all of the victim's stolen property from an oven drawer in the kitchen of the residence and on the suspect himself.  Brandon Howard was charged with Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle and Larceny after Breaking and Entering.

*** According to the NC Department of Corrections recordsBrandon Howard is a habitual repeat offender in Mecklenburg County, Cabarrus County and Guilford County.  Since 2004, Howard has accumulated over 15 separate charges relating to breaking & entering, credit card theft, etc. In addition, he is a habitual probation violator... but somehow he continues to end up back on the streets!?  Let's hope DA Murray puts an end to that cycle!

This arrest illustrates what can be accomplished when the community and police work together. Officers would have had a difficult time bringing this case to resolution had it not been for an engaged neighbor willing to get involved.  THANK YOU willing witness!!

Charlotte Thug Arrested in GA for Murder & 8 Armored Truck Robberies

The Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Office made a deal with the devil three years ago when they allowed Stacey Lamont Dooley to plea down a murder charge to possession of a firearm by a felon. Dooley shot and killed Byron Lisenby on Booker Avenue in 2006.

Dooley plead guilty, received supervised probation and skipped town...

On Wednesday morning, authorities in Georgia arrested Dooley and charged him with a series of at least eight violent armored car and ATM robberies; including one robbery that left an armored truck guard, Sgt. Gary Castillo dead. The robberies date back to the fall of 2010.

Stacey Dooley must have worn a rubber suit in the Mecklenburg County courthouse because he has faced 42+ charges since 1992; however, he was only convicted or plead guilty to 5 of those charges and has never spent a minute in a NC Prison.

I don't know of a better example to show you how despicable our DA's Office is/was and WHY we have so many repeat offenders out on the streets committing crimes repeatedly!

Police Launch "Adopt an Offender" Program

WBTV: CMPD Officers in the Eastway Division have launched a program to help keep tabs on repeat offenders. The "Adopt an Offender" program was launched six months ago.

Police say each officer in the division is assigned to keep track and research at least one offender in the area. They are responsible for learning where the offender lives and who the offender associates with.

The offenders are put on a watch list, their pictures are posted in the office and officers keep track of who is doing what. Police say there are about one hundred officers in the division and each patrol officer could be assigned to at least three or four offenders at time.

"If you're out offending and an officer drives by and calls you by your first name, it may make you think twice about going out in the field and offending again." said Sgt. M. Sloop

Burglary Arrests in Dilworth Neighborhood

Officer Mike Haney of the Providence Division was working a burglary suppression patrol in the Dilworth neighborhood Wednesday morning when he observed two suspicious persons on Springdale Avenue .

Officer Haney approached the two subjects and initiated a voluntary contact with them. The subjects gave Officer Haney permission to pat them down and the officer located numerous digital cameras and personal electronics in one of the subject’s pockets.

The two subjects were also carrying a backpack with an airport luggage tag on it. Officer Haney used the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s online reporting system, KBCOPS, to search for prior police reports involving the name on the tag.

Finding a prior report, Officer Haney made contact with the person whose name was on the tag and they confirmed that no one should be in possession of that backpack. Other officers responded to the victim’s home in the 600 block of Olmsted Park Place and found evidence of a burglary.

The two subjects were taken into custody and both have been charged with felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.

Arrested were:
- Teiresias Deandrea Metts- Metts has been arrested 15 times in Mecklenburg County since 2003.
- Todd Eric Boderick- Boderick has been arrested 10 times in Mecklenburg County since 2003. Boderick is currently on probation.
