Please help capture James Yarbro, Jr. Yarbro is wanted by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police department for the rape of a 14 year old girl.
Detective Michelle P. Johnson with the Juvenile Victims Unit obtained 21 felony warrants charging James Yarbro, Jr. with varies sexual assaults against a juvenile victim. Investigators believe the suspect is on the run because he recently emptied out his bank account. They want to find him so he can face rape charges. According to WCNC, the girl was raped over 70 times by Yarbro. According to Johnson, it was sporadic at first and then happened every day.
“She (the victim) was afraid to tell anyone,” Johnson said. “She was afraid for her life.”
Johnson said Yarbro threatened to kill her if she told anyone. Two years of alleged abuse ended this weekend when police got involved. “She became fed up,” Johnson said. “She said she couldn't take anymore.”
A search warrant stated the girl told police Yarbro used belts or Velcro type handcuffs to tie her to the bed. Police searched Yarbro’s home and took pictures of pornography, handcuffs and sex toys. They also retrieved bed linen from the home.
