Police are looking for a man who was videotaped on a surveillance camera during a bank robbery in south Charlotte on Wednesday afternoon. The robbery happened at the Bank of America branch located on Weddington Road.
Police said the robber wore a baseball-type cap and carried a drawstring cloth. He was armed with a shot gun when he entered the bank. He ordered everyone onto the floor and demanded money from the teller. The robber left with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in a dark blue truck. He headed in the direction of Providence and McKee Roads.
Witnesses described the suspect as a white male with a dark tan. Police said he is approximately 35 years old, 6 feet tall and weighs more than 250 pounds. He was wearing a navy blue t-shirt and baggy pants.
