Homicide Detectives Investigate Shooting on Peach Park Ln

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Homicide Detectives are currently investigating the shooting death of Angelo McKenzy Lee, 27.

At 7:46 a.m. on Thursday October 23, 2008, North Division patrol officers responded to a call for service in reference to a person shot at 1404 Peach Park Ln, which is off of Peachtree Rd. Upon arrival officers located the victim, Mr. Lee, inside the residence with at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by Medic. The victim’s family has been notified.

According to an initial witness statement, the suspects were described as two black males who were seen leaving the scene in a shiny dark colored newer model Chevrolet, possibly an Impala. One black male was described as having short dreadlocks and wearing a light blue sweatshirt. There is unknown description on the second suspect.

North Division officers are currently canvassing the area and speaking with neighbors to gather additional information. Homicide detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and Crime Scene Search is processing the scene. Based on the current status of the investigation this incident does not appear to be random.
