At approximately 1:29 pm yesterday, four black male suspects came into the Carolina Industrial Supply located at 3301 Parkside Dr. and robbed a man at gunpoint. During the robbery, the gunman fired a shot at the victim, missing him and instead, striking his partner, later identified as Roman Johnson in the face. All suspects then fled the scene in a light blue Ford product.Roman Johnson was dropped off by the other suspects at CMC University where he attempted to seek treatment for his gunshot wound. Johnson was transferred to CMC main where he is currently recuperating from his injuries under police guard and will be charged with armed robbery upon his release.
CMPD has issued warrants charging Martin Lee Reid Jr., with Armed Robbery, Assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury (for shooting his partner) and conspiracy to commit robbery.
The pictured vehicle is believed to be Reid’s vehicle and all suspects are believed to reside in or around Kannapolis, NC. If you know Martin Reid Jr.’s current whereabouts you are encouraged to call 911. He is considered armed and dangerous.
