Man Shot in Head in 'Adult' Club Parking Lot & Crashes Car- Dies

Case Update II: Friday, June 24, 2011-  CMPD Homicide Unit Detectives recently signed a warrant charging Ramiro Sesma Rivera, for the murder of Mr. Fuentes Portillo.  The CMPD Violent Criminal Apprehension Team arrested Mr. Rivera without incident earlier today at 5401 Hazelnut Court.  Mr. Rivera is currently in the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.

This investigation is on-going and detectives request that anyone with information regarding this incident call 704-432-TIPS, and speak directly to a Homicide Unit Detective. UPDATE:  The victim in this shooting has passed away and has been identified as Olman Mauricio Fuentes-Portillo.  Based upon initial statements from witnesses at the scene, a passenger in Mr. Portillo’s car exchanged gunfire with a passenger in a white Ford F-150 pickup truck as the vehicles headed for the exit of the parking lot.

Mr. Portillo was struck in the head by gunfire and then crashed his car and came to rest in the middle of Independence Boulevard.  Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 704-432-TIPS and speak directly to a Homicide Unit Detective. The CMPD is reporting that a man was shot in the head in the parking lot of The Crazy Horse strip club around 2:30am this morning.  According to witnesses, there was an argument in the parking lot and the victim was shot.  After the victim was shot, he drove away from the scene and ended up crashing on Independence Boulevard between Farmingdale and Idlewild Roads.

The shooter fled the scene prior to Officers arriving and police are still looking for him.  The suspect's vehicle is described as a white colored Ford F-150 pickup.  According to CMPD, the victim was last listed in critical condition at Carolinas Medical Center.  If you have any information about this shooting, please call CrimeStoppers at 704-334-1600.
