The shooting left two people deceased. The victims have been identified as Edris Gbarlee Juyenneh Dickson and Darron Orlando Davis.

North Tryon Division officers responded to the Park Creek Apartments to investigate multiple calls to 911 that gunshots had been fired inside an apartment. When officers arrived on the scene, they located a male and a female inside the residence, both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The male victim was transported with life threatening injuries by Medic to Carolinas Medical Center. The female was pronounced deceased on scene by Medic.
