Police Seeking ID of Several Pharmacy Robbers



UPDATE: On October 14, 2011 through collaborative efforts with Rock Hill PD, York County Sheriff, Lancaster PD and Lancaster Sheriff, Ronald Carl Sims was identified and warrants for his arrest were obtained. Mr. Sims was arrested in Rock Hill, SC.  All agencies, including CMPD are continuously working together to identify other subjects affiliated with these cases.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers is now offering a cash reward of up to $6,000 for information leading to the apprehension of several subjects believed to be responsible for a series of recent pharmacy robberies.

The robberies have occurred at the Rite-Aid pharmacy located at 2215 West Arrowood Road on October 7th, the Rite Aid at 15521 John J. Delaney Dr. on October 2nd and the Harris Teeter pharmacy located at 16625 Lancaster Highway on September 25th. The subjects have also been involved in multiple pharmacy robberies in York County, South Carolina.

The additional reward money has been donated by the pharmaceutical company Purdue Pharma L.P., in cooperation with RxPATROL®, a collaborative effort between industry officials, pharmacists and law enforcement to collect, analyze and disseminate information on pharmacy theft.
