Man Arrested for Two Armed Robberies

CMPD have arrested and charged Kenneth Rumph with two counts of common law robbery for robbing a convenience store and pharmacy in east Charlotte.

According to the police reports, Rumph entered the Circle-K convenience store last Tuesday on Monroe Road and demanded money from the store clerk.   An officer pulled into the store parking lot at the time of the robbery.  Rumph saw the officer and ran from the store before he was arrested.

Officers were able to track Rumph down a few moments later and place him under arrest without incident.

Police said during the investigation, it was determined that Rumph was the same suspect who robbed the Rite-Aid Pharmacy on March 4th off of Monroe Road.
