The suspect in the four Charlotte-area bank robberies was arrested Monday at 9:00 AM. 53 year-old Anthony Watson was busted by our Violent Criminals Apprehension Unit, or VCAT, at the InTown Suited located at 7706 North Tryon Street.
He is charged with 4 total counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon. That is one charge for each bank robbery, though Watson reportedly only showed a weapon during the final robbery at BB&T on Sardis Road on August 3rd. This is a great example of the branches within our local law enforcement working together and making Charlotte a safer place tonight.
