Iredell County Authorities Arrest Catawba Man for Smuggling Drugs

Thirty-three year-old Kenneth Wayne Ryckley was arrested by Iredell County's Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team after he sold drugs to an undercover officer. Ryckley, a resident of Catawba, sold 15 grams of crack cocaine to a police officer and was arrested immediately after the transaction. Police value the drugs at around $6,000.

The arrest comes as the result of an investigation in which narcotics detectives determined that Ryckley was transporting drugs into Iredell County from Charlotte. Ryckley is jailed in Iredell County under a $25,000 bond. He faces charges including the sale and delivery of cocaine as well as maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances.
