Man who killed 2 CMPD officers in 2007 was denied again

Demeatrius Montgomery killed two Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers, Jeff Shelton and Sean Clark back in 2007. On Thursday, the North Carolina State Supreme Court denied his appeal again.

Montgomery is serving life in prison for killing officers Shelton and Clark at an east Charlotte apartment complex back in 2007. He was arrested a few hours after the incident. In 2011 he was found guilty of murder after several weeks of testimony.

The death penalty removed from the case because one of the investigators burned his notes from the scene of the murder. That investigator was later fired.
