After receiving evidence from two juvenile victims, detectives with the Special Victims Division of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department signed warrants on Lawrence Webber for First Degree Rape and Indecent Liberties with a Child.Mr. Webber is the Associate Pastor at Reeder Memorial Baptist Church, located at 3725 Beatties Ford Rd. In addition, Mr. Webber is a North Carolina Registered Sex Offender.
Earlier this evening members of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) arrested Mr. Webber and took him into police custody. Mr. Webber was arrested on three Felony counts of First Degree Rape and five Felony counts of Indecent Liberties with a Child.
